Lego has been an infamous children's toy for generations, but now Lego is not just a kids toy. It can be used for a range of purposes such as encouraging fine motor skills for stroke victims or as a medium for some artists. Most notably, a group of artists founded a project that complex patching antique walls with Lego recently in Bochhignano, Italy.
Although the structural integrity of the walls does not depend upon the toy bricks, the diminutive bricks add stability that may prevent portions of them from crumbling even more. A group of artists who refer to themselves as 20 Eventi designed the projects which can be seen in four different small Italian villages. Basically, the artists made large and small Legos into configurations of varying shapes that have been built to tightly slot into the missing portions of a very old wall. The optic consequent is both enchanting and startling. The additions originate a look of continuance for the wall which allows the eyes to glide over it surely whereas the traditional crumbling stone caused the viewer to see the structures as incomplete. Furthermore, by integrating a new substance like the plastic of the Legos, the artists have created a veritable marriage of the old and the new.
